How to install fence posts?

As fence posts are crucial part of an overall fence as they determine how strong the fence is going to be then, it is very important to install those properly.

First of all, you should start by determining how long your fence is going to be. After doing that you will be able to calculate how many fence posts you need to order. When you are ordering the fence posts you should know that the height of the fence will be only two thirds of the height of the fence posts.

Start the installation by marking all spots where the posts are going to be. Also make sure that there will be no trees, hedges etc. on the way.  Done with that, you can start digging the holes for fence posts. The quite general rule of a thumb states that one third of the fence posts will be in the ground, meaning that the deepness of the holes should also be one third of the post’s height. Put some gravel for drainage into the hole before setting the posts. Prepare the concrete by mixing cement, sand and gravel according to the instruction. Finally, pour the mix into the hole so that it is equal to the ground. To ensure the better result, put some concrete also around the posts.
